Dentists & Prosthodontists
- William Christensen (Orem, Utah 801-226-6565) – Very talented & super-nice guy. His Dad (Dr. Gordon Christensen) is one of the most famous dentists in the world – thus Dr. William Christensen is very highly-trained. He is strictly a prosthodontist (does dental crowns) – but also does general dentistry (cleanings, fillings, whitening, etc.) & has highly-trained hygienists in his office. His Mom is a PhD material scientist & runs a dental laboratory – thus he knows dental materials & composites very well & he can often apply those dental materials in cases where most dentists might do a crown (which is much more invasive). If he does a crown (or applies composite) for you he is good at reconstructing the tooth anatomy you should have – whereas many dentists only replicate the (worn-down) tooth anatomy you currently have.
Oral Surgeons
- David Smeltzer (Columbus, Ohio 614-457-9337) – dental implants, wisdom teeth, etc. Very talented! He did 2 surgeries for me at the same time: (1) an extraction for an implant; and (2) a “Sinus Lift” through the socket of the extracted tooth. It requires a very experienced oral surgeon to do that well & he did great! My hot-shot dentist said that the pin that Smeltzer implanted to support the artificial tooth was aligned perfectly.
